Some seasons deserve more than a quick moment — they deserve space to unfold. My full-length Family Sunset Sessions are designed to slow things down, giving your family room to settle in, connect, and be fully seen. These sessions take place in the hour before sunset, where golden light and open space create the perfect setting for honest, emotional, and timeless portraits.
Whether you're marking a milestone, gathering multiple generations, or simply wanting the depth that only unhurried time allows, these sessions offer space to create artwork you’ll return to for decades.
A Full Sunset Session is a customized portrait experience, typically lasting 45–60 minutes. These sessions are held at golden hour in a location chosen to reflect your family’s personality — fields, woodlands, gardens, or even your own backyard.
With more time, we’re able to document a wide range of connections: posed portraits, candid moments, detail shots, and sibling or parent-child interactions — all wrapped in soft, glowing light.
Sunset sessions are a wonderful fit for:
A Story at Sunset sessions allow for rich storytelling — both in imagery and in the legacy pieces we create from them. These sessions offer the greatest flexibility in terms of location, pacing, and storytelling — perfect for families who want their portraits to feel as real and expansive as this season of life.
After your session, you’ll receive a set of 20 images of your choice. Upgrades are available (but never required) for heirloom-quality prints, albums, or fine art enlargements. Most of our Story at Sunset clients will also intentionally create:
- A series of images to create a wall gallery or framed collection
- An heirloom album that tells the full story of their session
- Gift frames for extended family
- Holiday cards for loved ones
Sunset Sessions are offered year-round and scheduled on a flexible basis. Together, we’ll select a location with beautiful evening light and surroundings that reflect your family — whether that’s nature, garden, backyard, or somewhere personal.
Availability is limited, and I only take a certain number of full sessions each season to ensure each family receives the time, care, and creative attention they deserve.
If you’re ready for a portrait experience that slows down, draws out connection, and results in imagery that feels like home — I’d love to talk with you.
