Being primarily a children's photography studio, we get asked a lot about time of day for pictures, pretty lighting and golden hour portrait sessions. Golden hour is the magical hour before sunset where the light is warm and glowing, and it is undoubtedly a gorgeous time of day for pictures. For families with older children, it is definitely a beautiful option. But for families with babies and little kids, scheduling in the golden hour often comes at the expense of happy babies. In the late spring and summer, golden hour tends to fall during most little ones' witching hours and bedtimes. Having worked with thousands of children in Raleigh throughout the years, we understand that asking tiny kids to work through a photo session at a time outside of their daily routine often doesn't yield the best results. When you're ready to start planning your child's session, we'll help you take a look at nap schedules and your little one's happy times. This will help set everyone up for a successful photo shoot.
