CHAPEL HILL CHILDREN'S PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHY

I had so much fun meeting this sweet child and photographing her charcoal heirloom portrait. She was at a special age to create this piece of art for her; her mom has a precious pencil portrait of herself at the same age. I absolutely love, and am so incredibly honored, to be a part of continuing family traditions like this.

I traveled to her family's home to capture this heirloom portrait. She played with her toys, rode her scooter and listened to her favorite music while I set up a small mobile studio in the garage of her home. After 5 minutes in front of my lens, she went back to her Saturday and back to the business of play. My process of creating heirloom portraits is simple and stress free for parents and children, and yet the end results are one of the most cherished pieces of children's portrait art.
