the investment

Why is it called an "Investment"?

We make purchases everyday - the $4 cup of coffee, those new boots, that latest and greatest gadget to hit the shelf this fall, even that new car. They are the things we acquire, and we use, and we sometimes abuse, and then they’re discarded, or donated, or lost and we start the cycle over again....

A PURCHASE LOSES ITS VALUE OVER TIME.

Photographs are an investment in our memories. Don’t we always feel like we’ll have a little more time? That our chubby, little baby will stay this little, or our snaggle toothed first grader won’t grow up too fast? And then we blink... and they’re bouncing down the hall with nervous excitement for the first day of kindergarten, or headed into middle school with braces and unlaced sneakers, or walking across the stage to accept their diploma, ready to take on the world. Photographs are an investment. Their value multiplies over and over again as time passes. New cars and $4 cups of coffee will always be here, but this time with your loved ones can never be recreated once it has passed.

A PHOTOGRAPH IS THE PAUSE BUTTON OF LIFE.
