I've known this sweet girl since before she was born! I'm so lucky to get to spend some time with her every fall for her family's yearly portraits at the park. But this visit was different; she'll be headed into her teen years very soon, and like her brother before her, we had to capture this precious in between time with an heirloom portrait. Tween heirloom photography has really gained popularity the last couple of years, and for good reason. It is such an important age to document, as they are teetering so perfectly between being a little kid and being a teenager. I'm finding many parents are taking advantage of this sweet chapter to capture that one last portrait while they still look like little kids. She'll keep growing and changing, but this charcoal heirloom portrait paused this sweet capture forever.
