Heirloom photography is a classic style of portraiture that is designed to be a keepsake and passed down to future generations. Heirloom portraits are for those who find meaning in the timeless and soulful simplicity of classic portraiture. As a portrait artist for the Greater Raleigh area, I've spent the last two decades refining and perfecting what it means to create a portrait that will never go out of style. In working with thousands of families over the years, I've seen as hot trends come into fashion only to quickly fade away and become outdated. The days pass so fast, and the "latest and greatest" trends will always fall victim to that passing of time. This reality is bad enough when considering things like home furnishings, floor & paint colors and fashion attire. But this concept truly becomes heartbreaking when you consider family photographs, and children's portraits. At the end of this chapter, when the kids are grown and have left home, all that remains are your memories and photographs. And unlike home furnishings that can be replaced down the road, this chapter will close and can't be remade again. This reality has fueled my passion for creating artwork that never goes out of style. I've even taken heirloom designs one step further, marrying each portrait with all museum grade materials that guarantee your portrait will be as beautiful 100 years from now as it is today.
